Sirocco is a legendary sand storm originating from the North African desert. What makes this album so influential is the fact that Whilst everyone else was still experimenting, Christophe had already delivered what was to become the norm.
Sirocco is a pleasant journey into the world of North Africa, both in terms of music and atmosphere.
Christophe’s use of the guitar is, as always, outstanding and so is the combination of really funky beats on a bed of luscious strings and oriental percussion and modern day production techniques, in other words the soundtrack to a modern day Casablanca.
